Description:
Body slender, with the lateral processes wide apart. Cephalon half the length of the body, except for the proboscis, with the neck elongate and slender.
Ocular tubercle rather low, rounded, with the eyes nearly contiguous. Proboscis shorter than the cephalon. Chelifores moderately robust; hand globularly tumid beset with short hairs; fingers stouter than the palm. The lamelliform process smooth, not dentate. Palps absent.
Ovigerous legs in male very elongate and slender; 5th segment shorter than both preceding ones together; terminal claw slender and elongate.
Ambulatory legs furnished with hair, rather slender, four times the length of the body; coxa 2 much longer than both the others together; femur twice as long as the coxal region; tibia 1 about as long as the femur; propodus slender and elongate, nearly straight, with 5-6 strong spines at the base of the inner edge; terminal claw almost the length of the propodus, compressed, falciform.
Body white. Length of the body up to 8 mm; the extent between the points of the ambulatory legs reaching 77 mm.
Habitat:
Sublittoral.
